Wassup, one. Wassup, all.
This past weekend, I teamed with Ron Stalker to take on the Cash Vault - Kyle Matthews and Frankie Valentine in a tag team match in Rampage Pro Wrestling. We wound up losing after I submitted due to a beatdown of my left arm. One word: OUCH!!!
Now, I know I have been mad critical of what wrestling organizations are doing wrong. I went to Rampage and finally got to see an organization doing everything right. A lot of people make the argument about money. If they had it, they could be doing what Rampage is. My say is they could probably afford what Rampage could afford. Do what they do? That's another argument to be made. I have wrestled there only three times. Still, you get the feeling they are trying to build something. So far, it is top notch. Wonder why Rampage gets the press it does? Look at the locker room. It is a WHO'S WHO in Georgia wrestling today. And while I didn't get the chance to meet her, I would like to meet the 6' 10" Isis. From what I hear, the videos do not do her justice. Just to be part of that makes me feel like I have made some serious strides in wrestling. And although I am from this area, I feel kinda bad for feds in the Middle Georgia area. The staff at RPW has set the bar so high, it's crazy. Onward and upward, Rampage. You have quickly become the state's wrestling barometer.
I did watch WrestleMania and I enjoyed it aplenty. The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels had a hell of a match. John Cena wins the World title and a fan cusses him out to his face. Priceless. But the surprise moment of the year was Ricky Steamboat turning back the clock and stealing the show like he did in '87. That had me on the edge of my seat.
One thing that did disappoint me was the Money In The Bank ladder match. These matches are starting to get like War Games matches in Georgia: redundant and pretty fucking predictable. I say they do away with it for a year. And Santina rules!!!
Glad to see my workouts are actually paying of. The biggest reasons are that I have boosted my cardio and eliminated red meat from my diet. Hopefully, I can take care of some scheduling conflicts and wrestle in other places this year. But that's the biggest dilemma. Everyone wants rankings and recognition. Those things are a by-product of exposure. So with all the feds in GA, which ones will provide the most? I'll be back. I gotta scratch my head on this one....
